Remi
Remi has been with us since 11/2007. He was a very very sick baby, he had distemper from not getting his puppy shots. He was about 6weeks old when he came to us. He is about 7months old now. He almost died 3 times from being so sick, but he has pulled through. Remi is going to need a very special home. He has some side affects from the distemper. The vet says that there is nothing that can be done to correct these things. He has bad teeth and he suffers from some neurological problems like his body will bob from lack of strength his head bobs as well, these are called 'tiks'. His nose is dry and his bottom jaw sticks out further than his top so his tongue sticks out. His prospective new family has to educate themselves on surviving distemper read articles on the web. He has a great chance at a good life. Some days he is as fiesty as a puppy and some days he just wants to lay around and sleep.

Robbie
Robbie recently lost one of his eyes. By all indications Robbie was attacked by a larger dog and because of injuries, he lost one eye. His other eye was also badly affected. Because of not getting immediate medical care, his only eye is ulcerated and there is little vision. He has seen our vet and next on 4/25/08 he will see a specialist about his one eye in the hope we can save what vision he has. He is such a loving little guy. He is quiet and loves to cuddle with you. He is getting used to the world without much sight but I can't see where this will affect his loving personality.

HERE ARE SOME PICTURES, THOUGH NOT TOO GREAT, OF HIS FIRST DAY IN FREEDOM. HE HAS A BAD SKIN CONDITION, IS EXTREMELY THIN, AND HIS NAILS WERE SO LONG HE HAD TROUBLE WALKING BUT HE DID, RIGHT OUT TO FREEDOM. WE ARE ALL SO THRILLED
